Tragic Crater Fall Clutches Chinese Photographer Near Indonesia Volcano

An Indonesian volcano was the site of a tragic accident when a Chinese tourist and her husband were trying to capture the dawn via photography when the woman leapt to her death. The blue-fire emissions of Indonesia’s Ijen volcano make it a popular destination for sightseers. A tour guide had already cautioned the 31-year-old lady many times to maintain a safe distance from the Ijen volcano as she posed for photographs before she fell from the crater’s edge.

According to the authorities, Huang Lihong, the lady in question, fell 250 feet into the volcano. She and her husband were on a guided tour of the region of East Java when the tragedy occurred. Authorities have ruled her death an accident.

Initially, the woman kept at least two or three meters away from the cliff’s edge, according to the couple’s tour guide. But when Lihong began to step back to capture a photo, she stepped on her long trail of clothing, tripped, and fell into the volcano.

Whether she was wearing a skirt or a dress was unclear. Sulfuric gas combustion is responsible for the blue emission from the Ijen volcano. On a regular basis, the volcano does release minor quantities of toxic gases, yet it is nevertheless available to the public.
