Accreditation in Grade A for five years for Palampur Agriculture University

The Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University, Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar (CSKHPAU), has been authorized for a period of five years. Vice-Chancellor Dr. DK Vatsa told reporters at this location today that the institution has been granted Grade A accreditation by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and is recognized till March 2028.

He claimed that six months before, a high-level ICAR peer review team had paid the institution a visit and had carefully examined and evaluated the academic, research, and extension education facilities. The group had separately engaged with all parties involved, including staff, students, and farmers, and solicited their opinions.

Dr. Vatsa also expressed gratitude to the university community for their hard work and devotion in achieving this noteworthy accomplishment. According to him, almost all academic programs have received accreditation, and the university has been requested to post the constituent colleges’ self-study results on its website. There will be a midterm evaluation, and the National Agricultural Education Accreditation Board has requested that the authorities refrain from increasing student enrollment without its consent.

The VC went on to say that the institution will carefully adhere to all requirements. As of right now, CSKHPAU is placed eighth among all state agricultural universities in the nation and 12th among all agricultural and related scientific institutions according to the Union Education Ministry’s National Institution Ranking Framework.
