End Mental Segregation

The human mind is flooded with many ideas. An estimated sixty thousand ideas are supposed to cross our minds each day. The search of spiritual development is hampered when the human mind is restless or uncontent.

The scandalous Vaseline episode

But in 1976, in the parched Feroze Shah Kotla grounds in Delhi, this perfect fast bowler was ordered to put Vaseline on the red cherry to create English-like conditions. It was maybe the first instance of ball doctoring that was noted. Even though Lever was cleared of all charges, the then-Indian captain Bishan Singh Bedi bitterly objected to the obviously immoral tactics used. It is reasonable to say that bowlers from subcontinental nations would most likely have received a just penalty if they had used such immoral methods against teams like England, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand (SENA teams). This is an egregious example of mental discrimination.

The stats are very uplifting and motivating. In the year 1000 AD, India’s GDP share of the global total was little over 25%, and in the years 1500 AD to 1700 AD, it was slightly less than 25%.

Taking back a portion of the pie: The fact that the Oriental world—China and India in particular—has a sizable portion of the global economy and riches is, in fact, telling. In order to take advantage of these enormous economies, a number of European trade companies—who adhered to the philosophy of “Gold, Glory, and God”—adopted both overt and covert strategies. They were able to effectively enslave and subdue these economies over time. India’s GDP share in the global economy fell to a negligible 3.65% throughout this time. How did things get to this point? Indian culture, which was by far better, plateaued.

Spirituality and yogic power: our deliverance Though many Indians themselves denounce and criticize it, despite how much others criticize it, our spirituality, meditation practices, and the Yogic force (Shakti) are what have once again elevated India to the level of a global powerhouse. India is now known as the center and birthplace of mental renewal and remarkable contributions due to the work of Maharishi Patanjali, our Vedic literature, the magnificent epics of the Mahabharata and Ramayana, numerous philosophical schools, and the contributions of Jainism, Buddhism, and later Islam and Sikhism. In fact, the same kind of mental stimulation is responsible for the discovery of the zero idea and the presence of galaxies in the cosmos. That was not mental apartheid for us.

Way out: The modern world is a yoga mat. Indians need to go beyond Hatha Yoga, have trust in themselves, and focus on a few timeless core truths. These are to live a controlled life, accept the idea that life is sacrosanct and priceless, become spiritually wealthy, and comprehend the law of attraction. We won’t be able to free ourselves from mental apartheid till then.
