Meet the doctor who married an IAS after passing the UPSC exam on her first try to become an IPS officer; her AIR was

Because they are the embodiment of diligence, tenacity, and fortitude, self-made women have the most inspirational success tales. A doctor who joined the IPS and is now an officer, Navjot Simi, is one such inspirational success tale.

In Gurdaspur, Punjab, on December 21, 1987, she was born. She attended the Baba Jaswant Singh Dental Hospital and Research Institute in Ludhiana to pursue her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree. She started out as a dentist and practiced for a while before choosing to get ready for the UPSC test.

Navjot received guidance from a reputable Delhi-based school and scored 735 on her first try in the UPSC test. She was assigned to the Bihar cadre and the IPS service. She is employed as Patna’s DSP.

She has successfully prevented crime, safeguarded women and children, and ensured social welfare in her role as an IPS officer. She has a large following on social media sites like Twitter and Instagram, where she is extremely active.

She emphasized that the secret to passing the test is having drive and commitment. She advised people to have a clear idea of their goals and the reasons for their desire to enter the public service.

Navjot is wed to IAS Tushar Singla, a fellow Punjabi who scored an all-India 86 in the UPSC test in 2015. He is now serving as Banka, Bihar’s District Magistrate.
