As one of the most renowned teachers in the nation, Dr. Vikas Divyakirti is a notable professor and author. Even though he specializes in UPSC subjects, his lessons transcend beyond the classroom and touch on topics like philosophy, ethics, and values that are relatable to a wider audience.

In addition, he has 2.95 million followers on his own YouTube channel, and Drishti IAS, his tutoring facility, has more than 11 million subscribers.

Dr. Vikas Divyakirti was born on December 26, 1973, in Haryana into a middle-class family. His mother worked as a PGT teacher in Bhiwani, while his father was a well-known professor of Hindi literature at Maharishi Dayanand University. Two of Vikas Divyakirti’s older brothers work as DIGs at the CBI and as software engineers in the US, respectively.

In the Bhiwani area of Haryana, at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Dr. Vikas Divyakirti completed his education. He enrolled at Delhi University’s Zakir Husain Delhi College for his undergraduate studies, where he graduated with a BA in Hindi. In order to continue his education, he obtained MA, MPhil, PhD, and postgraduate degrees in Hindi and English. Because of his strong educational background, he is regarded as one of India’s most highly trained instructors for UPSC examinations.

Following his studies, Dr. Vikas Divyakirti started working as a teacher at Delhi University. He started studying for the UPSC examinations at the same time, driven by his family’s expectations, and he eventually achieved an outstanding AIR 384 in 1996. He served in the Ministry of Home Affairs for a short while before deciding to pursue his love of teaching and opening the Drishti IAS coaching facility in Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi, in 1999.
