Pamela Anderson will co-star in the Naked Gun adaptation with Liam Neeson

The Oscar-nominated actress Pamela Anderson will play alongside Liam Neeson in Paramount Pictures’ satirical comedy series Naked Gun, which won over fans’ hearts in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The film is directed by Akiva Schaffer, who is most recognized for his work on Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers. Dan Gregor, Doug Mand, and Schaffer wrote the screenplay.

Leslie Nielsen played the clumsy but capable Detective Frank Drebin in the first Naked Gun, a hilarious spin on police procedural clichés written by Jerry Zucker, Jim Abrahams, and David Zucker. Neeson will play Drebin in this contemporary version, while Anderson, who plays his love interest, will use her trademark glitz and silliness to take on the part that Priscilla Presley once played.

Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins of Fuzzy Door are producing the project; executive producers are Schaffer and Daniel M. Stillman. The planned release date is July 18, 2025.
