PCS officer Dr. Gurleen ranks 30th in UPSC examinations in Jalandhar

Dr. Gurleen, who has been a PCS officer for over two years, has improved her status by passing the UPSC and placing 30th in the results released on Tuesday.

Gurleen, a Patiala native, is now employed in Nawanshahr as the Chief Minister’s Field Officer. After four attempts, she has finally mastered the UPSC. In the PCS test that she had taken in 2000, she had placed sixth.

“Until I started my internship at the Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences after my MBBS degree, I had no intention of taking competitive exams. Like my mother, Dr. Balwinder Kaur Mann, who is now retired as the district homeopathic officer, I have always aspired to be a doctor. The YPS Patiala alumnus remarked, “My instructor and mentor Ranjana Sharma constantly pushing me for this.

She has been wished success and told that her hard work has paid off by Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa.
