Ranchi Man Makes His Family Proud by Securing 151st Place in UPSC on His Second Attempt

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) test is one of the most difficult in India. Many were startled to learn that Vaibhav Kumar, a guy from Ranchi, Jharkhand, had just passed the test without receiving any coaching or tutoring. His family was pleased with him after he achieved 151st place in the UPSC test. Vaibhav Kumar lives in Kanke, Ranchi, Jharkhand; he is originally from Nalanda. He just passed the UPSC test with a 151st rank. Viresh Kumar, his father, is employed at Central Coalfield Limited (CCL). According to Viresh Kumar, Vaibhav excelled in his academics from an early age. He did his further education in Delhi after completing his Class 10 and 12 studies at Asansol, West Bengal.

According to Viresh Kumar, Vaibhav joined CitiBank as a software engineer after completing his education, and he spent two years working there. After that, he took two UPSC examinations. Vaibhav Kumar claims that he was unprepared when he took the test for the first time. However, he was more prepared for his second appearance, and the outcome speaks for itself. On his second try, he was more aware of what to study and how to put together an effective study plan.

In an interview, Vaibhav Kumar said that, before joining the CitiBank team, he had considered pursuing a career that would honor his parents, establish his reputation, and advance society. Sunita Kumar, Vaibhav’s mother, said that her 26-year-old son has put in a lot of work and that she has made an effort to provide him with the best environment possible. She continued by saying that, as Vaibhav’s parents, they had always given him all he needed. He has made his parents proud ever since he was a little kid. She said that she would always encourage her kid to concentrate on his education and never allow him to take on domestic responsibilities.

On Chaitra Durgashtami, Sunita Kumar has been keeping a fast for the last 20 years. After her son passed the UPSC exams, she believed that the goddess Durga had finally repaid her persistence.
