₹20 lakh confiscated from a couple detained for narcotics sales

New Delhi: In west Delhi, a couple was taken into custody for narcotics sales. The defendants were named as 44-year-old Rajesh Rana and his 43-year-old wife, Neelam Rana. They took part in more than fifty criminal cases.

It was discovered that Neelam was engaged in drug trafficking, therefore, the police announced they were searching for him. According to DCP (West) Vichitra Veer, they learned of a woman’s presence in Tilak Nagar on April 24.

After a raid, she was apprehended. Heroin and smack weighing more than 790 grams were taken from her home during the operation, along with a substantial quantity of cash totaling Rs 20 lakh.

Rana had already been charged with eight criminal offenses, and he was engaged in 23 others. At the Tilak Nagar police station, a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was filed.

In an effort to capture further participants in this scheme, police are conducting raids at many sites.
