1 lakh rupees worth of illicit alcohol was found

Yesterday, the police found 37 crates of illegal alcohol in the area. Officials said that the whiskey that was confiscated had a market value of Rs 1 lakh.

SHO Chandhut According to Dalbir Singh, the alcohol was discovered yesterday night packed in a vehicle that was parked close to Rampur Khor Chowk. He continued by saying that the police arrived at the scene on a report that illicit alcohol was found inside a broken-down automobile.

A total of 444 bottles of liquor were recovered from the 37 cartons, each containing 12 bottles. The SHO said that while the alcohol and car (which had the registration number HR 30V 9742 on it) had been seized, an Excise Act case had been filed. He stated that the culprit or suspects in the case were probably going to be detained shortly.
