170 people run the Sahnewal marathon
The New Light Computer Institute in Sahnewal hosted a marathon today with 170 competitors in all. Dream Park served as the starting and finishing points for the marathon, which drew runners of all ages. The main visitor was Mehar Singh, the assistant commissioner of GST and customs for Ludhiana.
The men’s top three finishers in the over-45 division were Jaspal Singh, Ramneek Singh, and Manjeet Singh; the top three finishers in the under-45 division were Ankit, Harshit Moudgill, and Abhishek Kumar Singh.
In the female division, Sultan Roshi, Karamjit Kaur, and Riya Riyal placed first and second, respectively, while Karamjeet Kaur, Harpreet Kaur Sandhu, and Surinder Kumari took the top three spots in the over-40 category.
The top ten finishers in each category received trophies and monetary awards.
The awardees were congratulated by the main guests, Gurdeep Singh, Ramesh Kumar Pappu, Rashpal Singh, Gurdeep Singh, and Vivek Verma, LPU’s assistant director for distant and online education. The NLCI director, Gulshan Kumar, served as the show’s host.
