A bicycle demonstration in support of regenerative agriculture

A bicycle demonstration was planned to support regenerative agriculture. Manav Vikas Sansthan (MVS) teams teamed up with Patiala cyclists and rode to Ghamrouda with the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Rauni group to spread messages about the need to conserve soil and water and the need to adopt DSR during the Kharif season.

The Nature Conservancy’s PRANA initiative, which promotes no-burn agriculture and regenerative agriculture, formed the basis for this demonstration. The goal of the initiative was to persuade farmers and other interested parties to switch from chemical-based farming to regenerative agricultural techniques, which improve soil health and save water.

Rashpinder Singh, the district agricultural development officer, said, “This event highlights the significance of regenerative agriculture in Punjab.” We hope that the message of regenerative agriculture is consistently reinforced by these demonstrations.
