A number of NCP members go to the party office in Mumbai to show their support for Sharad Pawar

A day after Sharad Pawar’s father Ajit Pawar and other senior NCP members joined the Maharashtra government as deputy chief ministers, numerous party members visited the south Mumbai headquarters to show their support for the patriarch.

However, Ajit Pawar has requested his colleagues to hold off on making any remarks to the media.

From the nearby districts and tehsils of Mumbai, a number of NCP officials and members hurried to the party headquarters to show their support for the elder Pawar.

Anil Deshmukh, a former state home minister, and a number of other people have shared photographs of Sharad Pawar on social media with the caption “Saheb, always with you.”

In the meanwhile, NCP State Unit President Jayant Patil has suspended the party’s general secretary Shivajirao Garje for attending Ajit Pawar’s Sunday oath-taking ceremony.

Amol Kolhe, a Shirur-based NCP Lok Sabha member who had been in Raj Bhavan the day before, joined the Pawar camp on Monday.

Kolhe tweeted, “The heart never makes a mistake; sometimes the head does.”

NCP leader Jitendra Awhad retweeted the article with the caption “One warrior returns to camp.”
