A woman commits suicide by hanging herself

Today in Ashok Vihar, this lady committed suicide by hanging herself on a ceiling fan at her home. It has been determined that the deceased was Reshmi, a Bihar native from Samastipur.

In her death, Reshmi’s relatives claimed foul play. The deceased’s brother, Amarjeet Kumar, who lives in Salempur, said that his sister was being tormented by her in-laws.

He said that she was upset and informed him that her in-laws were torturing her when he last saw her. He said that his mother-in-law had prevented her from leaving the home to accompany him.

Amarjeet and other family members hurried to Reshmi’s home as soon as they learned of her passing. They saw scars all over her neck. Amarjeet reported the incident to the police right away. After visiting the scene, the police collected the corpse.

The police said that they did not find any compelling evidence or suicide notes at the scene. The corpse was brought to the Civil Hospital for an autopsy. They said, “More action will be taken based on the statements of the deceased’s family members and medical reports.”
