According to Ashok Gehlot, Rahul Gandhi would run for prime minister in the Congress in the 2024 local elections

Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister of Rajasthan, said on Saturday that Rahul Gandhi will be the Congress’ nominee for prime minister in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He said that after debate and discussion, this agreement was reached by all 26 opposition parties in the INDIA coalition.

According to Gehlot, Rahul Gandhi will be the Congress’s candidate for prime minister.

While local issues influence each election, according to Gehlot, the current state of the nation has put “immense pressure” on all the alliance’s parties.

According to reports, he advised the prime minister to avoid seeming haughty. Since the BJP won just 31% of the vote in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shouldn’t act haughty. Gehlot said that he lost the remaining 69% of the votes.

Gehlot said that the INDIA opposition coalition conference in Bengaluru in July frightened the NDA.

Gehlot disputed assertions that the NDA is aiming to win 50% of the vote in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, saying that the prime minister would never be able to do it. “Even at the height of his popularity, Modi was unable to win 50% of the vote. The outcome of the 2024 elections will decide who becomes prime minister, and Gehlot predicted that his vote share will decline.

The chief minister of Rajasthan further said that Congress was responsible for PM Modi’s election as prime minister in 2014.

Gehlot criticized the prime minister’s delivery, saying that it is impossible to foretell the future in a democracy.

He reportedly added, “Everyone should accept the people’s decision, and this decision should be made by the people. The people is aware of what happened to the many promises that PM Modi made.

The achievement of Chandrayaan-3, according to Ashok Gehlot, was due to past leaders Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.

Gehlot said that “India Gandhi and Nehru worked extremely hard to achieve the current achievements, and Nehru’s contribution is also significant in the success of Chandrayaan-3.”

Gehlot said that previous Prime Minister Nehru listened to the advice of the scientist Vikram Sarabhai before establishing the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Back then, the Space Centre went under a different name, but once Indira Gandhi took office, the name was changed to ISRO, he said.
