After the cylinder burst, a wall collapsed, injuring five family members

On Thursday morning in Daduwal village in Baddi, an explosion caused by an LPG cylinder leak caused the wall of the room to fall, injuring the migrant couple and their three children.

Vinod (45), his wife Nirmala (40), their daughter Roshni (12), and their two sons Ashsih (18) and Ankit (4) were all named as the wounded. They were from Uttar Pradesh, namely Sitapur.

According to Baddi DSP Khajana Ram, no signs of foul play have been found so far. After inspecting the scene, a group of forensic specialists concluded that the accident was caused by a gas leak from a cylinder that was in the family’s sleeping quarters.

Because LPG is heavy, it falls to the ground and may catch fire if someone lit a cigarette or turned on a light. The landlord, who lives in a room next door, reported the event to the police.

After being taken to a nearby hospital, the wounded were sent to PGI, Chandigarh. The DSP said, “It is stated that their condition is fine.”
