AI will broadcast PM address in eight languages live

In order to bridge the linguistic divide between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his listeners in non-Hindi-speaking areas, the BJP has enlisted the aid of artificial intelligence.

The BJP has discovered AI-enabled solutions to guarantee the live broadcast of the prime minister’s addresses in eight regional languages ahead of the highly anticipated Lok Sabha elections.

It is currently stated that the PM interprets his remarks into the local languages in real time when he travels to places where Hindi is not the official language. According to a party insider, the high-tech setup converts the Prime Minister’s address in Hindi into a local tongue based on demand.

“You may have seen how parliamentarians and journalists in the media gallery view speeches or processes during Parliament sessions in real-time in certain regional languages. A top BJP official said, “This is also being done through the use of Artificial Intelligence,” adding that the PM’s speeches are reaching a bigger and deeper audience as a result of the setup.

When the PM visits these states, his addresses are now dubbed and aired in Bengali, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Odia, Marathi, and Malayalam, according to sources. “The PM used AI for the first time in 2023. At Varanasi’s Kashi Tamil Sangamam, his address was translated into real-time for the audience, according to a source.
