Smriti Irani criticises Arvind Kejriwal for building a $40 million sheesh mahal for himself

Smriti Irani, the union minister for women’s and children’s development, criticised Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi and the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, on Sunday for spending $40 million remodelling the CM’s official house. Irani was speaking to a crowd at Uttam Nagar, west Delhi.

“Shame on such a CM who spends 40 crores on a sheesh mahal for himself but is unable to give Delhi residents with safe drinking water. He entices people with the promise of free power but is unable to supply it, according to Irani. The public gathering was organised as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) continuing outreach campaign after nine years of administration.

The debate surrounding the opening of IP University’s East Delhi campus was also addressed by the union minister. “In the university where I personally placed the foundation stone, Kejriwal reached to cut the ribbon. The similar incident occurred with 400 buses for which the Modi administration provided funding and he attempted to claim credit, according to Irani.

Requests for feedback from government representatives received no response.
