AIADMK condemns PM Modi’s hate rhetoric directed at Muslims

Chennai: AIADMK spokesperson D Jayakumar said on Tuesday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks against Muslims made during an election campaign in Rajasthan are abhorrent.

“This is a secular nation and any move to divide its people in the name of caste and religion will never be accepted,” Jayakumar said while speaking with the media in Chennai.
He said that Edappadi K. Palaniswami, the general secretary of the AIADMK, had denounced the PM’s remarks when he met with party officials in the Chennai zone to discuss the most recent elections.

According to Jayakumar, the AIADMK and its allies will win the most recent elections since they have the overwhelming support of the electorate. But the ECI had made several mistakes, including deleting a lot of names.

Four of Jayakumar’s family members’ names, including those of his grandson, who was a first-time voter, were reportedly removed from the list. He did, however, find it absurd that BJP state president K. Annamalai claimed that one lakh votes had been eliminated in Coimbatore.
