Bagdogra airport in Bengaluru receives passengers without luggage; SpiceJet apologizes for the inconvenience

When many SpiceJet travelers discovered that their bags had been left behind in Delhi, they encountered difficulties on Wednesday at the Bagdogra airport in West Bengal.

SpiceJet expressed sorrow for the disruption caused to customers and said that the offloaded cargo will be linked via later flights.

The issue surfaced after Rajesh Kumar, a passenger, used social media to draw attention to his predicament.

Our baggage was misplaced and lost on today’s flight SG8841 from Delhi to Bagdogra, and the crew did not provide any information! They still don’t have any answers,” Noida resident Kumar said on X.

At 12.30 p.m., the 2.30-hour direct flight departed from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 3.

An airline representative said, “On April 17, SpiceJet flight SG 8841, which was traveling from Delhi to Bagdogra, encountered payload restrictions for operational reasons, requiring some baggage to be offloaded from the aircraft.”

The luggage that has been offloaded will be linked by later aircraft. When payload constraints are met, goods and luggage are offloaded for the safety of aircraft operations, the spokeswoman said.

SpiceJet expressed its “deepest regrets” for the inconvenience that the impacted guests had to endure.
