Before the Supreme Court’s decision on Article 370, PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti was placed under house arrest; LG Manoj Sinha reacted

Ahead of the Supreme Court verdict on the abrogation of Article 370 today, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) claimed that the party chief Mehbooba Mufti has been put on house arrest.

“Even before Supreme Court judgment is pronounced, Police has sealed the doors of the residence of PDP President @MehboobaMufti and put her under illegal house arrest,” the Official handle of J&K Peoples Democratic Party said in a social media post on X.

Soon after the PDP claims, Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha reacted to th matter immediately and said the claims are baseless. “This is baseless. No one has been put under house arrest or arrested due to political reasons in J&K. It is an attempt to spread rumors,” Sinha said as quoted by news agency ANI.
