Boy Found Dead, Mutilated in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh Forest, Kidnapped by Leopard

The eight-year-old child’s disfigured corpse was discovered in these bushes on Friday, according to the forest authority. The youngster had been abducted by a leopard in Belwa hamlet in the Sohelwa forest region.

Arvind Kumar Singh, the district magistrate, has given the order to search the jungle in an attempt to find the leopard. Four teams have been sent out by the forest department for this reason.

Vikas, the son of Jagdamba Prasad, was sitting outside his home in Belwa village in Tulsipur tehsil on Thursday night when a leopard emerged from the bushes, grabbed him by the jaws, and fled into the forest. The villagers pursued the leopard when they heard the youngster cry, according to the forest department.

The boy’s corpse was found by the locals in the bushes next to a mountain drain, about an hour later, with his neck cut.

Four Forest Department teams have been sent out to look for the leopard, according to Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Dr. Sam Maran M., who visited the scene to assess the situation. Ten cameras and four cages have been put by the forest department, he claimed, in order to follow leopards. The districts of Siddharthnagar and Barabanki have requested assistance from their DFOs.

According to DM Singh, the boy’s corpse is undergoing a post mortem, and his family will get financial support as soon as the report is obtained. SDM and the police have been told to stay in the village.
