BRO clearing snow in remote parts of J&K around-the-clock

To remove the snow buildup off the roads in remote parts of Jammu and Kashmir, the Border Roads Organization (BRO) works day and night.

The 69 Route Construction Company (GREF) of Project Sampark at BRO is working very hard to remove the snow from the Basholi-Bani-Bhaderwah route. The accumulation of snow in the Sarthal and Khardwa regions this season has posed a significant challenge to maintaining the road network.

This winter season has seen a significant 4 to 8 foot snow accumulation in this area. “Meticulous planning was done, and necessary resources were deployed to clear the snow, ensuring connectivity to habitated areas.” Work to remove the snow has been ongoing on a war footing, and the route has been maintained open all the way to Sarthal and Chhatergala. An official said, “GREF, with its committed employees, has maintained a continuous snow removal operation to facilitate the movement of security forces, tourists, and coals despite numerous challenges.”

The representative said that the 69 Road Construction Company has started a concurrent snow removal endeavor in the Dalhousie region of Himachal Pradesh.

“Enough cutting-edge machinery has been used to remove the snow. The task is more difficult in this location because of the extreme cold. The official said, “BRO personnel and resources have been working nonstop to maintain contact with the military, visitors, and civilian population despite several obstacles.
