Chhattisgarh: A 120-foot Ganesh pandal in Raipur recreates the ISRO Chandrayaan-3 mission

At Raipur’s 120-foot pandal for Ganesh Chaturthi, a replica of ISRO’s successful moon landing mission “Chandrayaan-3,” which made India the fourth country to do so after the US, Russia, and China, was erected.

With the success of “Chandrayaan-3,” India also made history by becoming the first nation to land a lander on the south pole of the moon, which had never before been visited.

The pandal in Raipur, which closely resembles the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, will be on exhibit to the public when the Ganeshotsav festivities get underway on Tuesday.

In the state capital, several renowned Ganesh Utsav committees have built large, intricately decorated pandals with unique themes.

At Kali Bari, a theme-based pandal with a picture of the Chandrayaan-3 mission has been built. At the pandal, there is a copy of the PSLV rocket that is 120 feet tall and 70 feet wide.

To complete the theme-based pandal within the deadline, thirty craftsmen from Kolkata were hired and they worked day and night.

One of the craftsmen who worked on this pandal said that thousands of bamboo poles were used to build the building, along with plywood.

It took 45 days to construct the pandal, which has the “Chandrayaan-3” mission as its subject.

The Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Sarvajanik Ganpati Trust constructed another Ganesh pandal in Pune, Maharashtra, with a Ram Temple motif.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) president Mohan Bhagwat would preside over the installation of the Lord Ganesha statue there, according to the organizers, who claimed to have worked on the pandal for the previous two months.
