During the Gaza Conflict, Owaisi Calls on Modi to Support Palestinians

In regards to the continuing fighting in Gaza, Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen), fervently appealed to India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a “devil,” harshly condemned him, and asked Prime Minister Modi to show support for the Palestinian people.

A massive breach in the closely guarded border between Israel and the Gaza Strip precipitated the recent uptick in violence in the area. Personnel from the Palestinian group Hamas crossed the border in order to commit this violation. Thousands of people have been killed as a result of this incident, which had devastating effects.

Owaisi’s argument focused on alleviating Palestinian suffering and denouncing the horrors done against them. He highlighted that the Palestinian problem should be understood as a humanitarian issue that cuts across all religious divisions.

When discussing Prime Minister Netanyahu, the head of AIMIM did not hold back, calling him a “devil,” a “tyrant,” and a “war criminal.” Owaisi brought attention to the terrible circumstances in Gaza, where a sizeable percentage of the population has been.

He emphasized the startling amount of bombings in Gaza, citing media sources that said the Israeli government had dropped more than 6,000 bombs there in only six days. Tragically, this assault killed about 1,500 Palestinians, including women, children, and elderly people, and injured many more.

According to Owaisi, what is happening in Gaza is “ethnic cleansing.” He pleaded with the Indian government and people to denounce Israel’s activities and declare them to be “war crimes.” Owaisi has already made a message of sympathy with Palestine on his social media accounts, so this is not the first time he has done so.

Owaisi also discussed India’s historical relationship with Palestine in his speech. He said that the Congress party’s election to power resulted in a change in India’s approach to the problem. He thinks India should go back to its previous position of supporting the Palestinian cause.

Many people are concerned about the continued war in Gaza and are calling for a peaceful settlement. International leaders and observers are keenly following the situation as it develops in the hopes that the bloodshed and suffering of innocent people caught in the crossfire would come to a stop.
