Chhattisgarh may be the engine propelling India’s development: CM

What are the main programs for economic development that the state administration is concentrating on to boost growth in the state?

A: In order to achieve the lofty objective of growing the state’s GDP to Rs 10 lakh crore over the next five years, the administration is working hard. On the foundation of 10 main economic pillars, long-term initiatives have started. A knowledge-based economy, technological advancements, higher official capital expenditure (CAPEX), better use of natural resources, improving the service sector, encouraging private investment, concentrating on Bastar-Sarguja policy, creating decentralized development pockets, fostering Chhattisgarhi culture, and openly implementing schemes are a few of these.

What strategies do you have in place to draw in investments and encourage Chhattisgarh’s industrialization?

A: Chhattisgarh is a promising state in the nation because of its large territory and varied population. The state has the potential to become the engine of the country’s development if its three crore residents actively participate in politics and show unwavering dedication.

Q. In order to improve accessibility and encourage economic growth across the state of Chhattisgarh, how is your administration tackling the state’s infrastructural and connectivity issues?

A: Chhattisgarh has a wealth of potential for the growth of the tourist industry, especially in eco-tourism, which makes use of the state’s rich biodiversity and culture. With so many beautiful places to visit, the state is a great place for family reunions and weddings, which is why funding for these events is prioritized. Chhattisgarh offers outstanding facilities to foreign and local entrepreneurs, emphasizing the state’s commitment to law enforcement and economic facilitation. Notably, the fall of naxalism portends a tranquil and favorable climate for economic growth.

To further improve the convenience of conducting business, digital application development and a faster approval procedure are being made. Furthermore, the rapidly expanding food processing sector has the potential to increase farmers’ profits and provide jobs across the whole state.

What steps are being made, particularly in rural regions, to enhance connection and infrastructure across the state?

A major focus of our budget has been the development of infrastructure and energy. Phase 2 of the Rural Road Program has been designated with Rs 450 crores, while 1268 new roads are to be built with an allocation of Rs 737 crores.

Furthermore, the building of 349 bridges, for which 175 crores have been allocated, would expeditiously improve connectivity.Better road connection, in our opinion, is a prerequisite for doorstep growth. That’s why energy efficiency and conservation are top priorities for our administration.

Thirty crores are set aside for solar community irrigation, while a sizeable 670 crores are earmarked for the Solar Sudarshan Yojana.

Could you please provide information on any impending infrastructure projects that the people of Chhattisgarh may find beneficial?

Aside from building roads, we are also moving forward with railway projects. We have allocated 120 crores for the Chirmiri-Nagpur halt line and 300 crores for the Katghora-Dongargarh railway line. We are building a Post-Harvest Management and Processing Technology Institute in Balrampur to support the rural economy. In addition, with funding from the National Health Mission of Rs 1812 crores, we are building new hospitals in five districts to increase access to healthcare.

Our initiative, the Chhattisgarh Sports Promotion Scheme, aims to encourage both sports participation and infrastructure. Furthermore, the state’s power center project intends to promote religious tourism and advance economic growth.

What actions are being done in Chhattisgarh to enhance access to high-quality education and healthcare facilities?

A: The Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Swasthya Yojana are expected to get Rs 1562 crores from the government. Our goal is to guarantee that primary, district, and community health centers provide high-quality medical care.

In Raipur, a new 700-bed facility will be built in addition to extensive renovations for the hospital’s 1,200-0 bed Mekahara. Additionally, a 20 crore budget allocation has been set up specifically for the establishment of a trauma facility at Rajnandgaon.

Q. How do you intend to handle issues with the educational standards and healthcare facilities in rural areas?

A: Our goal is to establish model district hospitals in the following areas: Gariyaband, Kawardha, Raigarh, Mungeli, Baikunthpur, Jashpur, and Narayanpur. A sum of 80 crores has been set aside for this major project. Furthermore, an additional 325 crores have been added to the Mitannin Welfare Fund to strengthen the crucial connection between health services and rural communities.

How is Chhattisgarh’s administration striking a balance between environmental preservation and economic growth? What programs are in place to encourage environmentally friendly behavior and protect the natural resources of the state?

A: The state is moving in the direction of inclusive development, acknowledging that ecologically friendly growth is the only viable choice. We are also pushing for the electrification of agricultural pumps, investing 200 crores in this project to go hand in hand with solar energy projects.

In addition, the wealth of job prospects provided by the state’s biodiversity are highlighted by the impending introduction of a new beekeeping program. In the foreseeable future, these coordinated initiatives should promote inclusive growth.

What programs does the government have in place to support underprivileged areas and guarantee social welfare across the state?

A: The poor, farmers, and tribal people are the main beneficiaries of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, the Prime Minister’s Gram Sadak Yojana, the PM Jan Dhan Yojana, and the Swachh Bharat Mission.

The Chhattisgarh administration, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is dedicated to exploring novel avenues for public welfare. Seventy lakh women’s bank accounts are receiving payments under the Prime Minister’s Vandan Yojana. This plan will mark the beginning of a new phase in women’s economic empowerment.

What steps are being done, especially in areas impacted by Maoist activity and insurgency, to guarantee the protection and security of the populace?

A: Maoism is fading in the state, and law enforcement is taking harsh action against individuals who use violence. By means of programs such as the Niyad Nellananar plan, we are guaranteeing that every tribal settlement receives necessary services.

What role does Chhattisgarh see itself playing in luring in global and local investment?

A: Investments are made possible by good governance. By implementing a single-window clearance system, we have expedited the process of creating industries in Chhattisgarh and replaced red tape with a red carpet to welcome investors. Opportunities in the food processing sector are being aggressively pursued, and I would like to invite global business leaders to take advantage of our investment-friendly climate.

What vision do you have for Chhattisgarh’s future, and what efforts are you doing to make that vision a reality? How would you make sure that the state has inclusive growth and development that benefits all segment of the population?

A: By ensuring that programs reach the most disadvantaged people at the bottom of society, we are moving forward with the Antyodaya philosophy. After only three months in power, we have kept every single pledge we made and built a solid reputation for reliability. Voters were secured via elections, but in the modern day, Modi’s guarantee denotes political legitimacy. For the state’s economy to thrive, both quantitative and qualitative gains in people’s living conditions are essential.

Q. There are going to be Lok Sabha elections shortly. What hopes does the BJP have in Chhattisgarh?

A: All eleven of the state’s Lok Sabha seats are going to us. See, all patriotic Indians are committed to realizing Prime Minister Modi’s goal of a developed India, and they all feel a feeling of belonging to it. By electing a BJP administration with a sizable majority in the most recent Assembly elections, people in Chhattisgarh have shown their faith in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Our administration is unwavering in its commitment to delivering on Prime Minister Modi’s promises.
