Dehra: The oldest inhabitant of Paragpur is honored
The oldest person living in the historic hamlet of Paragpur, Preetam Devi Sood, was honored by the Dehra government.
Preetam Devi Sood, also lovingly referred to as Amma, turned 95 on April 13—the auspicious day of Baisakhi. She has lived in her family house for over nine decades, and she is a living example of tradition and resiliency.
Preetam Devi Sood’s house was visited by the Dehra government, which was headed by SDM Shilpi Bekta and village pradhan Madan Gopal. They honored her important contribution to the community by giving her a cake and a memorial plaque.
The people of Pragpur village celebrated Sood’s 95th birthday in style. According to the locals, her legacy is radiant and inspires future generations to value and protect our cherished village’s rich history.
