Delhi brass of the Congress absent from Raj

Jaipur: Despite the fact that the campaign is supposed to end on April 24, the Congress has not scheduled any public events with the party’s Delhi brass for the second round of voting on April 26 for 13 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan.

No election rallies or roadshows have been scheduled for the final two days of campaigning, despite requests from candidates for visits to their electoral constituencies by prominent figures like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi, as well as crowd-pleasers like Kanhaiya Kumar and Imran Pratapgarhi.

The Congress spokesman, Swarnim Chaturvedi, brushed down the problem, saying that the party has nominated candidates and party MLAs in the remaining 13 seats from the 12 that were polled in the first round.
“During their recent visits to Rajasthan, almost all of the top party officials effectively disseminated the party’s message across the whole state. According to Chaturvedi, the MPs and MLAs running in the constituencies that will go to polls are just as much party ambassadors as Malikarjun Kharge, Soni Gandhi ji, and Rahul Gandhi ji.

However, the state unit did want central leaders to be present in positions like Jodhpur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Jalore, Barmer, and Chittorgarh. The top leaders had a busy schedule since they were invited from many locations throughout the nation, but the message was delivered.

The Udaipur Congress spokesman, Pankaj Sharma, said that he had requested a roadshow headed by Rahul Gandhi in reaction to the recent roadshow in Udaipur that was conducted by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The local Congress sought a roadshow and a public speech similar to what the Union Home Minister gave in Udaipur to BJP candidate Manna Lal Rawat. However, it is OK since the party has sent several state officials to this area to help our candidate by canvassing homes,” Sharma said.
Second-phase elections are being conducted in 13 states, including Rajasthan, Karnataka, MP, UP, Assam, and Kerala, for 89 Lok Sabha seats.
