Deputy Chief Minister: 3 Pc Additional DA For HRTC Employees, Pensioners Notified

After the board of directors made a resolution to that effect, Mukesh Agnihotri, the deputy chief minister, said on Monday that workers and pensioners of the state road transport company would get an extra 3% dearness allowance (DA).

Agnihotri, who oversees the transport department, said in a statement that all obligations of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) will be paid in a timely way. According to the statement, a notice was sent to the employee’s DA on Monday.

 

 

According to Agnihotri, the corporation’s 15,000 workers and pensioners would gain from the DA decision. With this decision, the corporation’s workers will instead get 34% of the dearness allowance instead of 31%. It said that the allowance will be effective as of April 1, 2023.

 

The ex-gratia award for HRTC personnel who pass away while doing their duties has also been increased by order. The minimum compensation for regular workers has risen from Rs 35,000 to Rs 55,000, while the maximum benefit has increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh, per the new order.

 

The minimum benefit for contract workers has raised from Rs 20,000 to Rs 35,000 and the maximum benefit from Rs 75,000 to Rs one lakh, according to instructions that have also been issued, the statement added.
