Detained for shooting in the air and attempting to extort outside the Hisar Chemist store

Two people were detained by the police on Sunday in relation to their April 2 extortion money demand and gunshots fired outside a pharmacy in Sector 21 of this city.

The defendants were named Vikas, also known as Choti, and Sameer, also known as Mota Mulla.

Chemist shop owner Sachin Bansal was the target of the accused’s demand for a ransom of Rs 20 lakh, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohit Handa. He said that they had also opened fire to spread fear in the neighborhood.

According to the SP, Sameer (21), a resident of the Tibba Dana Sher neighborhood in the Hisar district, is being prosecuted in Hisar under 19 different IPC provisions as well as the POCSO Act.

According to him, Vikas, a Bharat Nagar resident, is also dealing with five criminal cases in the district of Hisar and one in the district of Bhiwani.

According to the police, the suspects were taken into custody on Sunday from a hiding place on the town’s Mirzapur Road. On Monday, they are scheduled to appear in court.

Additionally, on April 2, the accused had sought Rs 5 lakh from a dairy owner. Installing CCTV cameras at both stores aided the authorities in identifying the suspect.

From the accused, the police have also retrieved an illegal handgun that was used in the crime. They will appear in court after being questioned. They’ll attempt to be taken into custody by the police. The question of whether additional people are involved in the case will be thoroughly investigated, the SP said.

When questioned about the snatching events that have been happening in the town, the SP said that the police had significant leads in each case. “Compared to previous year, there has been a decline in snatching cases. Arrests will be made as soon as possible for anyone engaged in these instances. He said, “Police units have been instructed to police congested locations, such as Rajguru Market, efficiently.
