DK Shivakumar claims that JDS would vanish due to the party’s alliance with the BJP and criticizes the center for treating the southern states like stepmothers

In the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar is campaigning in a number of constituencies, particularly the ancient Mysuru area, where the Congress hopes to undermine the BJP-JDS coalition.

Shivakumar must also concentrate in Bengaluru Rural, where NDA candidate Dr Manjunath poses a serious threat to his brother, MP DK Suresh. The KPCC president privately discussed his aspirations to become chief minister, the BJP-JDS coalition, and PM Modi’s assurance to News18 while traveling to support his brother.

Political commentators had been discussing the BJP-JDS alliance a lot, with particular interest in whether the JDS would be able to effectively shift its support to the BJP and whether Congress would be able to retain the Vokkaliga votes it received in the previous year’s assembly election, particularly in the Old Mysuru area. Shivakumar believes that the Congress would actually get a higher number of Vokkaliga votes in this election and that the BJP-JDS partnership will fail.

“JDS lacks moral principles. Their partnership is doomed. They may have unified at the national level, but it was not without difficulty. While some votes may move, an alliance might not succeed. The JDS will vanish and many will join the BJP. More Vokkaliga votes would be added, Shivakumar said.

Additionally, he said that the Congress’s performance in nearby seats will not be impacted by HD Kumaraswamy’s Mandya candidacy. “Kumaraswamy made a mistake by running from Mandya,” he said.

WHAT IS THE GUARANTEE OF MODI? ENSWIRE ME
The five promises that the Congress administration implemented after taking office in the state last year have served as the foundation of their campaign.

Party officials make sure to highlight the successful initiatives, such as the free bus pass for women and the Gruha Lakshmi program, which gives Rs 2,000 to every woman heading home. The Congress state president questioned the nature of the assurance when the BJP countered with the slogan “Modi Ki Guarantee.”

What assurance does Modi offer? It was their intention to get black money from overseas sources and deposit it into the Jan Dan account they managed. Is that the assurance provided? Is the 2 crore employment for youngsters that they mentioned a guarantee? They promised a two-fold increase in agricultural earnings. Is that the assurance provided? Have they been put into practice? Shivakumar pleaded, Please teach me about this, Shivakumar pleaded.

“IGNORED SOUTH”
In addition to the five promises, the Union government’s stepmotherly treatment of Karnataka and the southern states in terms of tax devolution and the delay in providing Karnataka with drought relief funding are the central theme of the Congress campaign.

“I commend Nirmala Sitharaman for acknowledging that there was a delay in the provision of drought assistance. We delivered the representation on schedule. The state’s predicament and the impact of the drought on the average person are known to the Union administration. We made them a request after determining that 200 taluks were affected by the drought based on guidelines provided by the Center. Prime Minister Modi stated they would release the monies they were expected to grant, and Home Minister Amit Shah said he would hold a meeting. They promised large sums of money, even in the previous budget. It was necessary to add 50 more man days under MGNREGA. The state government has received zero attention from the Center. Not the state, but politics is all they are considering,” he said.

Shivakumar defended his brother’s remarks on tax devolution and southern states, claiming that Suresh was just attempting to draw attention to the stepmotherly treatment and had not discussed splitting the nation.

“The tone of speech across South India has been uniform. We only get around 13% of the taxes that are paid. We don’t anticipate paying 100% of the taxes due. We haven’t received good treatment. Through Bengaluru, the whole world is seeing Karnataka. We ought to be granted our rights. It is not insane for Suresh to talk of splitting apart the nation. The nation has traditionally been kept unified by Congress. The Gandhi family has preserved national unity and the party. He added that the budget had no funding for Karnataka or South India. He said that others are politicizing the matter.

In addition to criticizing the BJP, the deputy chief minister said that the party was alleging the Congress administration would fall after the assembly election in an attempt to keep its supporters together. He did not comment on his aspirations to become chief minister.

“We shouldn’t talk about it (becoming CM) at this moment. The BJP claims that the Congress administration would collapse in order to preserve their group identity. That kind of stuff won’t occur. “The government of Karnataka is strong,” he said.
