Elections to the Lok Sabha in 2024: According to Kharge, the battle to preserve democracy and our Constitution starts now

A new age of economic empowerment and equitable possibilities is calling for voters, according to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, who urged people to cast their votes wisely as the first round of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 got underway on Friday.

In a post on ‘X,’ he said, “The fight to protect our Constitution and Democracy begins today.”

“Dear countrymen, I kindly ask you to carefully cast your vote in the First Phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, which will take place in 21 States and the Union Territory. A world where justice, or NYAY, is what’s ahead. The head of Congress said, “A new era of Economic Empowerment and Equal Opportunities beckons you.”

“I am sure you will vote for the ‘jobs revolution’ through YUVA NYAY, rather than a continuation of the past 10 years of record unemployment,” Kharge said.

He was full of confidence that the people would vote against the continuance of the unconscionable price hike that has driven their household savings to a 50-year low and in favor of ‘NAARI NYAY’, which takes meaningful steps for women’s financial independence.

“I’m certain that instead of falling for Jumlas’ scam of tripling farm income, our farmers would support KISAAN NYAY in order to get a formal guarantee of MSP. In his article, Kharge said, “I am confident that the millions of laboring hands who have built this country will support SHRAMIK NYAY’s agenda instead of a continuation of an era that has reduced their wages and left them to walk kilometers on highways during the pandemic.”

“I am sure our people belonging to the Dalit, Adivasi, OBC, EWS and Minority communities shall choose HISSEDARI NYAY over an era where they were discriminated through divisive politics and ever-increasing violence against them,” he said.

“After pressing the EVM button, take a moment to pause and think about it.” “Do you want to defend democracy or do you want to subvert our institutions through dictatorship?” Kharge questioned.

Voters, he asserted, will determine India’s future. Kharge also welcomed everyone who was voting for the first time.

Kharge called on everyone to cast a big ballot.
