Farm activists in the villages of Rohtak protest against the BJP candidate

Dr. Arvind Sharma, the BJP candidate and outgoing MP, was met with a barrage of inquiries and protests on Thursday during his polling stops in the Sisroli and Titoli villages, which are part of the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi Assembly constituency.

There was also fighting in the Titoli village between the demonstrators and supporters of Sharma. The first incident happened at a polling station in Sisroli village, where Sharma was present along with former minister Krishan Murti Hooda, state vice-president of the BJP Satish Nandal, and district president Ranvir Dhaka.

Meanwhile, when Nandal finished his speech, Monika Nain, a leader of the BKU, arrived there with a few other agricultural activists to ask questions of Sharma. She questioned why, during the previous five years, the MP had not visited the area.

Following that, a few BJP fans voiced their disapproval and began yelling chants in favor of the party and its nominee. The activists supported me and voiced their opposition by holding signs that said, “farmers’ unity.” After that, the police arrived and took me away,” Monika said.
