Field officers are required to provide visual documentation of their job progress

To guarantee timely completion of the ongoing development and beautification projects in the state capital, the Shimla Municipal Corporation (SMC) has instructed all field officials to provide images of their work with their progress reports.

At each review meeting, the junior engineers will be required to show images of the project. The action was taken, according to MC Commissioner Bhupinder Attri, to make sure that these beautifying and development projects were finished as quickly as possible.

The municipality is now engaged in around one hundred beautification and development projects, for which periodic review meetings are presided over by the Commissioner. The field officers are questioned on the state of the developing works during these review sessions. Many council members have asserted, nonetheless, that the claims are not being met by the work being done. They have reported that work is proceeding slowly in a number of wards.
