First randomization of poll workers for the Lok Sabha election took place

Here was the initial randomization of 7,231 workers who would be stationed at 1,058 voting places for the Lok Sabha elections in Shimla. The data of 7,231 persons for PRO, APRO, and PO to be deployed in 1,058 polling stations of the district has been selected and locked in the first randomization, according to Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, who is also the District Election Officer.

He claimed that directives were being sent out on the staff members’ election duties and the location of their rehearsal. “Every employee should receive their election duty orders, and department heads should give them to the staff members under their supervision as soon as feasible,” he said.

According to Kashyap, “rehearsals for individuals on election duty would commence on April 24 in multiple Shimla district Assembly constituencies.” The Jubbal-Kotkhai segment rehearsal is scheduled for April 24 at Thakur Ram Lal Government Senior Secondary School in Jubbal and April 25 in two batches at the Government Degree College auditorium in the Shimla (Rural) Assembly constituency.

“The first rehearsal in the Chopal Assembly constituency will take place on April 26 at the Tehsil Ground Chaupal, and on April 28 at the Government ITI Ground, Jais in Theog, in the Theog Assembly constituency,” he said. The rehearsal will take place at the Government Senior Secondary School auditorium in Chhota Shimla on April 26 for the Kasumpti Assembly constituency, and in Government Girls Senior Secondary School in Portmore on April 25 for the Shimla (Urban) Assembly constituency.

“The first rehearsal in the Rampur Assembly constituency will take place on April 26 at the Government Degree College, Rampur, and on April 28 at the PG College, Seema, in the Rohru Assembly constituency,” said Kashyap.

He said that a second randomization, during which voting parties will be created, will take place on May 16. On the occasion were Naib Tehsildar Kishore Thakur, Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Jyoti Rana, Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Ajit Bhardwaj, District Informatics Officer Pankaj, District Revenue Officer Sanjeet Sharma, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Verma.
