Following the repeal of Article 370, J&K is seeing peace and development: Rajnath Singh

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh attacked the opposition on Monday, claiming that although certain political parties had previously warned that a “river of blood” would flow in J&K if Article 370 were repealed, the events that have transpired here have shown them to be untrue.

Singh was speaking during a gathering in the Kathua district’s Basohli neighbourhood. The two main political parties in J&K, the NC and PDP, once threatened to renounce Article 370, saying that a torrent of blood would flow. But at the current pace of growth, “a river of milk will flow here,” the minister said. Rajnath was engaged in a campaign for Jitendra Singh, the BJP nominee for the Lok Sabha constituency of Udhampur.

Singh recalled Congressman Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Yatra,” during which he was seen playing in the snow when he arrived in Kashmir. Singh said that if Article 370 hadn’t been revoked by the Central government, he would not have been allowed to enjoy the snow.

In J&K, peace is now reigning. Even other nations are debating our decision to revoke Article 370. The Union Minister said, “We have done away with the checks. Previously, visitors to the Vaishno Devi temple were frisked.

Singh said that in the past, women who married outside of J&K would forfeit their property rights. The BJP leader stated, “This was also done away with and they do not lose the right to property even if they marry outside the UT.”

Singh said that at least 22,000 Indian students were stranded in Ukraine and that their parents had asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take action. Singh claimed that Modi was the one who temporarily put a halt to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

According to Singh, “war was stopped for four and a half hours after Modi spoke with the presidents of Russia, Ukraine, and the USA, allowing the students to leave the area and return to their homes in India.”

He went on to say that the BJP has kept every promise it had given to the nation’s citizens. “We fulfilled our commitments, whether it was building Ram Mandir or implementing Article 370. Concerning the Ram Mandir issue, the opposition used to make fun of us. However, we erected the temple in the exact location as we had promised,” he said.

“We implemented the CAA, but there are people who are trying to create misunderstandings,” the minister said. I would want to make it clear that this Act will not cause any Indian person to lose their citizenship.

“We have promised to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the next five years, and we will follow through on that,” said Rajnath.

“Nobody will be able to prevent India from establishing Ram Rajya. Ram Rajya denotes a consciousness of one’s responsibilities. When someone begins to feel in charge, something is wrong, Singh said.
