Held in the Fagu heroin smuggling case is one more

For his involvement in the case in which the police had taken around 180 grams of heroin from three people in the vicinity of Fagu, which is 17 kilometers from Shimla, another accused has been taken into custody.

Vishal Sharma, 24, a native of Theog’s Silu village, was named as the culprit.

The police claim that after looking into bank records and other areas of the inquiry, the accused was taken into custody on March 16.

Siddharth Sharma, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) for Theog, verified the complaint and said

Additional research was being conducted.

According to him, this was the eleventh arrest made in connection with the investigation. He said that the accused had been charged under Sections 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Following a tip, the police detained three suspects from Fagu on November 22, 2023. The accused, who are Haryana citizens, were pulled over for an inspection while driving.

They were detained right away when the cops discovered the contraband in their hands during the checking. This was one of the largest heroin seizures in Shimla in 2023.

One of the defendants, Vijay, is an interstate drug dealer who smuggled narcotics into the Shimla district’s Theog, Kotkhai, and Rohru areas.
