BJP leader claims Agarwal would mend the split between Prajwal and Preetham

In control of the Lok Sabha elections is the BJP in Karnataka. In response to purported charges made in Hassan on Saturday by JDS supremo HD Deve Gowda against former BJP MLA Preetham J Gowda, Radha Mohan Das Agarwal called an emergency coordination meeting of coalition partners BJP and JDS.

According to BJP sources, Gowda called the BJP highcommand and voiced his displeasure at Preetham’s nonattendance at the combined BJP-JDS rally in Hassan and the NDA candidate Prajwal Revanna’s nomination file. Preetham, the BJP state general secretary, is also in charge of the Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha constituency’s elections, which has its own set of duties, according to Agarwal, who defended Preetham’s absence.

According to Agarwal, Prajwal ought to go with the NDA candidate while they are campaigning there. According to a BJP spokesperson, Prajwal and Preetham would meet in Mysuru on Sunday in the presence of Agarwal, per the high brass of the party’s directive. After Prajwal made the plea at a coordination meeting, Agarwal made the decision to mend the gap between Prajwal and Preetham. Agarwal also disregarded the grievance that several JDS employees had brought up against Preetham at the meeting.

Additionally, he voiced his displeasure with Prajwal for allegedly failing to gain Preetham’s trust—even over the phone. “Taking Preetham’s close confidants into confidence after neglecting Prajwal is also unfair,” Agarwal said, emphasizing that the BJP leadership has never abandoned any officebearers or leaders. Prajwal expressed his optimism that Preetham would eventually join the cause.

“After the election results are announced, guarantees will end.”

Agarwal attacked AICC chairman Mallikarjuna Kharge for allegedly criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a program releasing a booklet outlining the 25 promises made by the Congress. He said that all five of the promises made by the Congress in the state would be revoked as soon as the general election results are announced. In response to a query, he said that Karnataka’s partnership with the regional party JDS would endure. He dismissed claims of dissident activity made by leaders in Davanagere, Chitradurga, and Shivamogga in the meantime, saying the party will deal with such matters.
