Hyd Metro will extend its operating hours for tomorrow’s IPL match

Hyderabad: Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal will host an Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket match on Thursday. Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMRL) announced on Tuesday that it would operate longer hours during the event. Trains in the metro will operate beyond their usual closing hours.

The final trains from their terminal stations will leave at 12:15 am, with the goal of arriving at destinations by 1:10 am, according to the authorities. The purpose of this scheduling change is to account for the expected increase in demand during the cricket match. Passengers will only be allowed to enter at designated stations—Uppal Stadium and NGRI stations—during the extra hours. According to a senior official at HMRL, just the exits would be operable at all other stations.
