In a pay-off case, the ED visits CMRL MD Kartha at home and asks him

The managing director of the business, S N Sasidharan Kartha, was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday at his Aluva home as part of their investigation into the pay-off case involving Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd (CMRL). An ED team lead by assistant director Satyaveer Singh interrogated him till nightfall, with the participation of three officers.

The ED called Kartha in for interrogations on Monday and Wednesday. He did, however, decline to be questioned, claiming illness. Kartha said that he had dementia, ischemic heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and renal illness in addition to the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. After receiving a variety of treatments, Kartha was recovering, according to CMRL officials who spoke with ED authorities.

But, because Kartha is the one who knows about the funds transferred to several companies and individuals, including Exalogic Solutions, which is owned by CM’s daughter T Veena, the ED needed to question Kartha.

Subsequently, ED agents got in touch with Kartha’s close friends and requested whether they could question him at home. When Kartha accepted the idea, the ED team drove two cars to his house before midday. Bundles of paperwork were carried by one of the cars as it departed the home premises around 2:00 PM.

We’ve heard that as part of the investigation, Kartha will be questioned by the ED once again. After reviewing the information gathered from CMRL on Veena’s dealings with Exalogic Solutions, the ED is probably going to interrogate her. The transactions that CMRL conducted with other businesses and political figures will also be investigated by ED.
