In Kaithal, farmers display black flags for Naveen Jindal

Many farmers protested against Kurukshetra Lok Sabha candidate Naveen Jindal’s visit to the villages along the Kaithal-Cheeka route, close to Polad village. They showed him their displeasure at his joining the BJP and waved black flags.

They said that the BJP administration had imprisoned farmers during the most recent protests and that it had failed to protect their rights.

Jindal has shown a desire to interact with the farmers and hear their viewpoints on a range of topics impacting them, in spite of resistance. After patiently listening to them, Jindal was eventually given permission to go to his destination.

Farmers gathered on the Kaithal-Cheeka road with black flags to protest Jindal’s visit as soon as they learned that he was going to campaign in several villages, according to Tajinder Singh, the district head of the Bhartiya Kisan Union (Sir Chhotu Ram) in Kaithal.

“We have concerns about Jindal since he joined the BJP, which hasn’t done a good job of standing up for the rights of farmers. He said that the BJP was unable to provide them a legislation that guaranteed the MSP. “We will not allow the BJP candidate and leaders in villages,” he declared. Three farmers were detained by the state administration, which also forbade the farmers from traveling to Delhi to voice their concerns. He said, “We have been calling for the release of these farmers as well.”

Jindal posted photos of himself with farmers who were protesting on social media under the handle “X,” stating that he listened to their concerns and will work to find solutions.
