In the neha murder case, CID agents take Fayaz into jail

Hubballi: Neha Hiremath, a student at BVB College in Hubli, was tragically murdered. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CID) has opened a thorough probe into the case. Hubli-Dharwad Commissioner of Police handed over the case files to the CID on Tuesday so they could be looked into further.

The CID quickly assembled teams to investigate the case’s specifics. While one team examined the BVB College grounds, the scene of the murder, another team traveled to the accused’s village of Munavalli in order to get vital evidence.

When the CID team led by SP Venkatesh arrived in Hubli on Monday night, he started working with Police Commissioner Renuka Sukumar right away.

Following ACP Shivprakash Naik’s briefing at the Vidyanagar police station and a visit to the North Division headquarters, Venkatesh went to the BVB College to examine the crime scene.

The CID team picked up Fayaz, the main culprit in the case, from Dharwad Central Jail. Fayaz was brought to the hospital to have a medical assessment. He was transferred to the main health facility while heavily escorted by police, and subsequently, he was brought to the crime site at BVB College for further investigation. On government directives, an eight-person CID team, including top officers like DySP Manohar and SP Venkatesh, has been stationed in Hubli to guarantee a prompt and comprehensive inquiry.
