A female musician claims misbehavior
A female performer on stage at a Samrala wedding reception said that some of the males dancing at the event had misbehaved. She said that they had asked her to come down from the stage and dance, and that they had mistreated her when she refused.
She said that in addition to mistreating her, one of the suspects tossed a glass of alcohol in her direction with the intention of hitting her. She barely made it out. Then a guy from the stage grabbed her and dragged her away.
She said that the person she had booked the event with, the organizer, had not been supportive either.
On social media, a supposedly recorded video of the event has also gone viral. The lady insisted that the police investigate the event and made a connection between it and her sense of self-respect.
She said that the Samrala police had received a complaint.
The situation is being looked into by the police. She said that a police officer gave her the assurance that something would be done about it.
