India’s epicenter of courage and gallantry is Siachen: Singh Rajnath

On Monday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh traveled to Siachen and engaged with the soldiers stationed in the world’s highest battleground, Ladakh. Singh referred to Siachen as “India’s capital of valour and bravery” when reviewing the nation’s overall military readiness in the area.

Army Chief Gen. Manoj Pande joined the minister of defense as well.

Rajnath Singh said earlier in the day, “Leaving New Delhi for Siachen,” in a post on X. Anticipating engaging with our valiant military personnel stationed there.

The legendary “Operation Meghdoot,” in which Indian troops thwarted Pakistan’s attempts to seize control of the Siachen glacier, celebrated its 40th anniversary one week prior to the Defense Minister’s visit to Siachen.

His trip to the area coincides with accusations from the Opposition that Chinese settlers are occupying Indian territory in Ladakh.
