BJP chiefs, PM Modi, and Amit Shah will enliven the Haryana election campaign

In the lead-up to the state’s Lok Sabha elections on May 25, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers of the BJP-ruled states will infuse the party’s campaign with spice.

The BJP became the first party to announce the names of its 40 star candidates for the parliamentary elections today, following its tradition of announcing the names of its 10 candidates. Leading Central figures like Rajnath Singh, Jagat Prakash Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani, Hema Malini, Bhupinder Yadav, and Anurag Thakur are among the prominent campaigners in addition to Modi and Shah.

In addition, Chief Ministers Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh, Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand, Bhajan Lal Sharma of Rajasthan, and Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh have been enlisted to court voters.

The BJP won all ten seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by winning big in many of the constituencies, riding the Modi wave. But, this time around, the BJP’s hopes of reproducing its 2019 success are seriously threatened by the anti-incumbency sentiment combined with a resurgent INDI Alliance headed by the Congress.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, previous Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Sudha Yadav, Om Prakash Dhankar, Kuldeep Bishnoi, Subhash Barala, Anil Vij, Ram Bilas Sharma, Capt. Abhimanyu, Ram Chander Jangra, and Sunita Duggal are among the state figures included on the list. The lone Sikh leader on the list is Manjinder Singh Sirsa, a well-known politician in Delhi.

Ministers Ranjit Singh, Kamal Gupta, Assem Goyal, Abhe Singh Yadav, Mahipal Dhanda, and Sanjay Singh were noticeably absent from the list, while state ministers Mool Chand Sharma, JP Dalal, Banwari Lal, Subhash Sudha, Seema Trikha, Bishamber Balmiki, and Ranbir Gangua (Deputy Speaker) were included.

Satish Poonia, Surender Nagar, and Phanindra Nath Sharma are the BJP organization’s representatives on the list.

In addition, Hema Malini courted voters.

Among the well-known advocates are Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Hema Malini, and Smriti Irani. Among the prominent campaigners among the state leaders are Nayab Singh Saini, Manohar Lal Khattar, Anil Vij, Ram Bilas Sharma, and Capt. Abhimanyu.
