Jalandhar: 2.8 kilos of heroin and 39 kg of poppies were burned

Today, the police demolished a sizable amount of cocaine that had been taken from traffickers over time.

Giving specifics, Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma said that the police seized a significant amount of narcotics from drug dealers during their anti-drug operation. The drug disposal committee burned the substance in Bir village today in accordance with Section 52-A of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

According to CP Sharma, among the drug-related items burned today were 90 g of ice substance, 212 pills, 288 capsules, 3.9.5 kg of poppy husk, and 2.877 kg of heroin.

He said that a zero tolerance policy was being implemented against this horrible crime while restating the Police Commissionerate’s unwavering commitment to eliminating the drug threat from the area.

He declared that no one engaging in this crime would escape punishment.
