Covid vaccination adverse effects: According to Akhilesh, the BJP endangered lives in order to extract money

Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, said on Wednesday that the BJP was endangering people’s lives by “extorting political donations” from a vaccine producer, amidst a dispute over the “side effects” of the Covishield vaccine.

Yadav demanded a high-level criminal investigation into the matter, arguing that permitting such deadly medications is tantamount to a plot to kill someone and that those in charge have to face consequences.

“Around 80 crore Indians have been given the Covishield vaccine, which is two doses per person, and the company that made its original formula has said that it causes a risk of heart attack,” Yadav wrote in an article on X.

The previous chief minister of Uttar Pradesh said, “Those who have lost loved ones due to the side effects of the vaccine or who feared the ill effects of vaccine, their doubts and fears have now been proven right.”

Former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and head of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav.

He said that anyone who tamper with people’s lives will not be pardoned.

According to court documents cited in UK media, the pharmaceutical behemoth AstraZeneca, with headquarters in the UK, has acknowledged that its COVID-19 vaccine—known as Vaxzevria in Europe and Covishield in India—may, in “very rare cases,” result in a side effect linked to blood clots, albeit the reason is unclear.

The Serum Institute of India produced the AstraZeneca vaccine in India.

The head of the Samajwadi Party further attacked the BJP, saying, “The ruling party has put the lives of the public at stake by collecting political donations from the vaccine manufacturing company.” ¡

“They will never be pardoned by the people or the law. In this case, there need to be a high-level judicial investigation,” Yadav said.

Similar claims were made by SP officials on Tuesday, when they claimed that the Covid vaccine’s maker received “commission” from the BJP for the vaccination, which they said was “forcibly” given to people.

Ajay Rai, the leader of the Uttar Pradesh Congress, has also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the matter.

He had questioned, “Is this Modi’s guarantee?”

Shivpal Yadav, national general secretary of the SP, had said, “It has now come to light that they have also accepted commission in vaccinations. The populace received subpar immunizations and medications.”

The wife of Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the SP, Dimple Yadav, said that Covid vaccinations were “forcibly” given to individuals in the nation.

“The BJP received a gift of between Rs 200–300 crore, and the business was granted authorization to sell the vaccine. Vaccines were forced onto individuals. Nowhere in the world have vaccinations been given under duress,” said Dimple, who also noted that corruption in the production of vaccines had recently come to light.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Akhilesh Yadav said that he would not accept the “BJP’s vaccine” and that everyone would get free vaccinations upon the formation of his administration.

According to The Daily Telegraph, AstraZeneca acknowledged that the vaccine it developed with the University of Oxford to protect against COVID-19 may, in “very rare cases,” cause thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS) in a court filing submitted to the High Court in London in February for a group action filed by 51 claimants.
