Karnataka AAP leaders protest against ED’s detention of Kejriwal

Leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party in Karnataka held a demonstration at Freedom Park in Bengaluru as part of a countrywide protest against the detention of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). AAP state president Mukhyamantri Chandru said, “What else can be expected from those who say they will change the Constitution? The Union Government is abusing agencies like the ED and I-T to target Opposition leaders.”

“The AAP leader said that they are prepared to serve time in prison and that neither they nor their leader, Arvind Kejriwal, are terrified of getting jailed. He voiced reservations about the free and transparent conduct of the Lok Sabha elections. Prithvi Reddy, national joint secretary of the AAP, said that Kejriwal’s detention by the ED was a result of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s fear of his popularity.

Additionally, he said that the BJP was abusing agencies like as the ED, I-T, and CBI for its own personal gain. Mohan Dasari, the state organising secretary, said that Kejriwal was detained at the PM’s request. He took a sharp swipe at the BJP, claiming that the electorate is ready to remove the party from office.
