Largest extortion scheme using electoral bonds: Rahul

Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, said today that the PM was the “champion of corruption” and that the electoral bond program, which allowed corporate payments to political parties, was the largest “extortion scheme” in history.

At a news conference in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, Rahul and Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party (SP), spoke. “The BJP has turned into a haven for dishonest individuals.” The BJP has also embezzled the riches of the corrupt. It can’t claim the moral high ground anymore, said Akhilesh.

Rahul, meanwhile, brought up Modi’s recent interview in his first election speech in Karnataka (Mandya) and said, “When he spoke about electoral bonds, his hands were shaking.” The prime minister said that the electoral bond plan will purify the political structure. Data that was made public revealed that a corporation had given the BJP crores via electoral bonds the exact day after winning a contract.

He claimed to have learned a great deal about politics from Indira Gandhi at Kolar, Karnataka.

KV Gowtham is running from Kolar, whereas Venkataramane Gowda of Mandya is the Congress’ nominee. On April 26, both constituencies will hold elections.
