Lok Sabha Election 2024: Kamal Nath Slams Govt For “Using” Ayodhya For Votes, Saying “Ram Mandir Was Built By Public Donation, Not BJP’s Money”

Betul (Madhya Pradesh): Speaking to a crowd on Saturday, Congressman Kamal Nath reaffirmed that, although he is glad to be a Hindu, he does not use his faith for political purposes. During the Lok Sabha elections, the former chief minister is visiting several constituencies.

He visited the Lok Sabha constituency of Betul-Harda to lend his support to Ramu Tekam, the Congress candidate.

Speaking to the assembly in public, he said, “I am a proud Hindu. I never took pride in building the largest Hanuman temple in Chhindwara. Religion is not about political propaganda; it is about morality and ideals. We don’t introduce religion into political discourse.

Our contributions helped build the Ram Temple, Kamal Nath.

At the assembly, Nath also led shouts of “Jai Shree Ram.” “Those in the BJP say they constructed the Ram temple, but in reality, our money helped to build it. Everybody has a different religious emotion, he said.

Notably, Congress candidate Ramu Tekam from the Betul-Harda Lok Sabha was the beneficiary of an electoral rally organized by Kamal Nath at Chutki village, Amla. He also charged the BJP of wanting to change the Constitution at the event. “The Bharatiya Janata Party is trying to tamper with the Constitution,” the speaker said. To change the Constitution is their aim. However, you are all the defenders of democracy and the Constitution. Nath addressed the populace, saying, “You are the guardian of the nation’s culture.”

Following the assembly in Betul, Kamal Nath departed for Harda in order to convene a second meeting in Morgadi. We will then go back to Chhindwara. Information further suggests that after April 22, Kamal Nath may organize a conference in Bhainsdehi, Ghoradongri, to support the Congress candidate. Meetings may be held in Multai and the adjacent districts by Nakulnath, the Congress candidate and MP from Chhindwara. It is also suggested that between April 28 and May 3, leaders at the regional and national levels pay visits.
